EH had a lot of interesting things to say about writing, so did LR Hubbard, surprisingly.

I almost gave up today.  Or i did give up.  For the last 24 hours.

I've said this many times:  Writing is the best thing and it's the hardest thing.

I have failed at most everything I've done in my life - except for writing.

Sometimes the work, which is so excruciating difficult, doesn't turn out as I'd hoped.  I tell myself it's unfixable.  I tell myself I'm horrible and I need to throw in every towel i own.

What i'm sure of is this: if i give up, then I will have failed and I won't know what could have been.
